New ringtones for iOS 17:

Many of the new ringtones are longer and sound more modern than older ringtones. They include: Shelter, Departure, Canopy, Storytime, Footsteps, Dawn, Journey, Arpeggio, Incline, Valley, Ray, Kettle, Mercury, Quad, Sprinkles, Blob, Joke, Cabin, Treasure Hunter, Galaxy, Seedlings, unfolds, chirps, big reports.

There are also over 10 new text tones available for text messages, voicemails, email alerts, reminder alerts, and more.

To access new ringtones and SMS tones, first make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 17 or later.

Then, open "Settings" and select "Phone Ringtone" or "SMS Ringtone" in "Sounds & Touch". Click on any tone to hear the effect. If you like this ringtone, select it to set it as your ringtone.

For users who prefer classic ringtones, Apple has moved all previous ringtones to the "Classic" section at the bottom of the list, where users can still use them.
